After many years in the "corporate jungle" and then many years selling fire and rescue vehicles, I chose to put my family first. My husband and I moved from Northern Virginia to Southwest Virginia in order to get away from the high cost of living (and when I say "cost of living" I don't just mean monetarily, I'm also referring to the stress, traffic, day cares, fast pace, etc. that came with it). I wanted to stay at home with my son and give him as many opportunities and advantages as possible. That's when we decide to move to a slower paced, more family friendly area. We started a succesful marketing company (CWI Media & Markeing - www.cwimedia.com), but I also wanted to do something that gave back. I know how important education is and I understand it's sometimes hard to know where to start or what to do when starting your child on the path to learning.
